Ghana is a beautiful and extremely peaceful countries in West Africa. It’s no secret that the country is one of the top countries in Africa to visit for tourism. With a summer-like weather majority of the year and a wide stretch of beaches there are very few African countries that can compare. Ghana’s beaches
With a wide coastal belt Ghana has several beautiful beaches to visit. From rocky to black sand to sandy beaches, the country has it all. The most beautiful beach in Ghana is white Sands Beach. This beach found a few hours away from the capital has a beautiful resort facing the water. You can sunbathe, take a swim and spend the night here. There are many hotels and beach houses in Ghana for people who love to wake up to the sounds of the ocean and enjoy the peaceful sea breeze.
Ghana’s nightlife
The closer to the south you get in Ghana the livelier the nightlife. Accra has the most number of night clubs and pubs. Enjoy a host of locally made alcoholic beverages with very exotic twists. You haven’t enjoyed real Ghanaian nightlife if you haven’t been to Champs bar, Republic bar at the ever famous Osu Oxford street. It’s the street that never sleeps. On this street you will find coconut sellers, local craft and clothing merchants and small bars open all night long. There are even 24 hour restaurants available on the Osu Oxford street to save you from the munchies.
Adventure sites
For people who want a little extra spice and a bit of an adrenaline pump Ghana offers one of the tallest Mountains in Africa, Mt. Afadjato for climbing. With a beautiful view of Ghana and it’s neighbouring country Togo, this steep mountain is well worth the climb. The country also has the longest canopy walkway in Africa. Found in the Kakum National park, there are seven extremely high canopy walkways. The canopy walkways in the game park offers sights and sounds of beautiful nature and some rare animals. One seasonal extreme activity in Ghana is paragliding. This occurs once a year during the easter period. Take selfies as you paraglide down the Kwaku mountains of Ghana.
